Local Attractions
Aberearon has a long history as a fishing port and visitors from all over the world come and experience for themselves the 'Jewel of Cardigan Bay', taking with them a little bit of it in their hearts as they leave - New quay Many believe that New Quay is the 'cliff-perched town at the far end of Wales' immortalised by Dylan Thomas, in 'Under Milk Wood'. Dylan Thomas lived in New Quay in 1944 in a little house called 'Majoda' atop the cliffs opposite the town.
Our superb location means that you are within easy reach of many of Ceredigion's most visited tourist attractions and sandy beaches. Aberaeron has quaint shops and traditional food, while Cardigan, with its chic boutiques and Aberystwyth, boasting one of the world's biggest camera obscures, are both 30 minutes' drive away.
The Town retains its Georgian charm with elegant brightly painted town houses and is still a focal point for the rural communities in mid Cardiganshire. Enjoy a stroll around the harbour along Quay Parade.
